PATRONIZE your own product! A command given to people to show their nationalism to their country. The simple act of buying products produced locally is such a big help to our economy especially now that it is down in the dumps. We Filipinos are usually tempted by “imported products”, blame it on the Spanish, American and Japanese colonizers, curse that colonial mentality. But no matter how much we adore products from the outside we still can’t set aside the fact that we are fun loving people. That’s the reason why fiestas, festivals and the like are usually celebrated with such grandeur and excitement.

In line with the Dinagyang Celebrations which the Iloilo City celebrate every 4th weekend of January, the Philippines Business for Social Progress, a private and non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting business sector commitment to social development which has now over 180 members companies and has harnessed partnership with government, business, NGOs, donor institutions and poverty groups, Peace and Equity Foundation a non-profit foundation that supports efforts of the civil society in eradicating poverty and marginalization in the country held a PORTFair exhibit last January 23-29 at the SM City Iloilo.
