Ladies and gentlemen, the famous lake. We were supposed to do some kind of birdwatching but since there are no birds around at that tine we decided to go ahead to the sand dunes which is like a few minutes away from the lake.

In Travelling on August 17, 2011 at 5:17 amThis was taken in Batac Ilocos Norte. This is where the Marcos Musuem and Mausuleum is. By great leader I assume they meant Marcos.
When I walked in to his mausoleum, I saw how his body was preserved. The guide ther says that his body is still there.. Wax was poured over it so what people now see is some sort of a wax statue inside the glass coffin.
His epitaph says nothing more than his nationality. Filipino, it says. It’s weird how one of the most hated figures in the Philippine history takes pride in nothing other than being a Filipino.
Paoay’s Facade

In Travelling on August 17, 2011 at 4:36 amThis is the beautiful one’s gown. One of her many gowns that is. This is used as part of the exhibit in the “death” area of the Marcos Museum which is like a spit away from the mausoleum. This Inno Sotto black gown has a long train and since there are no signs of say “do not touch”, I took a chance of having my photo taken while I was holding Imelda Marcos’ gown.
Auggie at Cape Bojeador Tower
In Travelling on August 17, 2011 at 3:57 amThe tower was built in the late1800s. The name of the place is Cape Bojeador if I am not mistaken. Our guide, Chris was not that talkative this is why I don’t know a lot about the place. He just drove us from one place to another. He was actually more of a driver than a tour guide. But he is cool and his rates are negotiable.
